Daniel Kabamba

Daniel Kabamba is a locally and internationally recognized procurement and supply chain leader with over 27 years of experience spanning mining, energy, water, health, sanitation, agriculture, media, world bank-funded programmes, and the public and private sectors.

He is a fellow of the Zambia Institute of Procurement and Supply (FZIPS), a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS), the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ), and the Institute of Directors (IOD). He is also a certified Trainer of Trainers by the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) and a certified Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) expert by Tetra-Tech.

Daniel serves on strategic boards and committees locally and internationally and is widely respected as a procurement policy specialist, particularly in stores management, supplier development, procurement, research, and academia. His contributions have established him as a trusted voice in procurement reform, governance, and institutional transformation.

As President of the Zambia Institute of Procurement and Supply (ZIPS) , Daniel has spearheaded procurement professionalization in Zambia and advocated strongly for a Unified National Procurement Policy to transform procurement into a strategic tool for national development, promoting efficiency, fiscal discipline, local empowerment, sustainability, industrialization, prudent Constituency Development Funds (CDF) management, and effective implementation of Local Content SI No. 68.

as a Non-Executive Director of the African Supply Chain Confederation (ASCON), he also promotes continental collaboration and strategic alignment in supply chain governance.
